Emotional Reactions To Stress.

I believe that stress doesn't directly come from specific events or activities, but rather from the way you personally react to these events or activities. We make the choices by ourselves the degree and severity of stress and manifests into mental, emotional, or physical stress.

Emotional reactions will be dependant upon and could be influenced by:

Emotional reactions can of course vary depending upon the period of the event.

As you are the only one in control of your thoughts, you now have an effective way to change your reaction to a stressful event. Stressful events and situations are impossible to live a balanced life without, so the only things you do have total control over is how you choose to respond to these events.

Minimize Your Emotional Reactions To Stress.

OA stressful reaction is caused simply by your perceptions of danger, either physical or emotional danger. How are you measuring your responses to stressful experiences? Do understatements come to mind or exaggerations? View things as they really are. Are these experiences urgent, critical or could it wait a while. Try to put the situation in perspective.

Don't worry about the "what if's."
What if I can't do this?
What if this happens?
What happens if I don't?

Those are just a few of many if's people worry about.

Changes Due To Stress

Significant personal changes to observe could be increased tension, irritability and moodiness.
Small irritations may be seen as unmanageable and unbearable. Other changes may be seen in dietary intake, either with a loss of appetite or the opposite with constant snacking. All these can cause a persons weight to alter unhealthily.
