Show Leadership To Gain A Promotion

A short while ago, something happened to a friend of mind that could have been avoided. One of my friend's co-workers got a promotion. This, after all, was a promotion that my dear friend thought he was due, but he missed out and was sidelined because his leadership skills simply weren't thought of as good as her co-workers.

Later, when he grumbled and remonstrated to me about it, I understood that he really needed a course in leadership, so I began looking for one. It had to be authentic, definitive, user-friendly, and something he could learn from and use immediately.

How To Lead.

So, I found "How to Lead," by Mind Tools. It was just what he needed. This is why!

As my friend read through "How to Lead" and did the exercises, he could feel himself converting into an effective, well-balanced, respected and successful leader. "How to Lead" is a unique world-class business-oriented course that is second to none. This course is quite different to any other because it lets you learn, in your own time, what you need to do to become a leader in your own industry.

The Course.

The course includes a workbook, "How to Lead: Discover the Leader Within You", along with five self-assessment worksheets and seven email-based e-classes. The format is a downloadable Adobe PDF. The content includes 185 information-packed pages that took the authors a year to write.

The workbook is divided into several modules that include the "The Meaning of Leadership". Getting to know yourself with insightful self-tests. You'll learn how to counteract your weaknesses and build self confidence, as well as, many other modules.

I found it very helpful and convenient that the course includes five self-assessment sheets in MS Excel format because I dislike traditional paper tests. I'm constantly flipping back and forth to check correct answers, marking things right or wrong, and then there are also the final calculations to do as well.

With these sheets, all that bother goes away. The self-assessment score sheets are in MS Excel format. They easily download from the workbook in MS Excel format. MS Excel automatically scores them and gives you the results. Don't worry If you don't have MS Excel, you can complete the assessments on paper.

The seven email classes are split up into one course per week for seven weeks. The classes function as guides for the workbook, and they provide coaching and motivation. My friend and I found them quite thought-provoking.

The emails always came at the very best times, just when my friend needed a little bit of reinforcement or a tip or two with maybe just some motivation. Those emails really helped a lot.

I'm a budget-conscious type, but this course delivered very good value for the money. Ann really loved trying "How to Lead" out at absolutely no risk.I think this course offers an entire leadership course in a user-friendly format at a reasonable price.
