<p>During the next few minutes you&#8217;ll really discover the bad food choices that are contributing to an ever increasing obese and diseased population. But how long will it take for this to really sink in and enable you to start to make a positive  difference to your daily eating plan.</p>
<p>If you are what you eat as the saying goes then what are you?<br />
So without even going into the consequences of &#8220;terrible&#8221; food choices for you personally, we have to really be conscious of and be willing to take responsibility for our &#8220;bad&#8221; food choices.</p>
<p>So how do we know that we follow terribly bad diets? There are too many people who think they eat a pretty healthy diet. Can the government help us with this?<br />
Perhaps not, the official government definition of a bad diet is nonexistent.</p>
<p>It seems the government wants us to simply eat more&#8230; More dairy, more meat, more grains, and even more sugar.  The governments idea of a unhealthy diet just means people aren&#8217;t eating enough dairy, meat, grains and sugar.</p>
<p>100 years ago people really were starving even in developed nations so is government advice the same now as it was then, the message is loud and clear &#8220;Eat More!&#8221;</p>
<p>But it really needs to be spoken and make crystal clear that you don&#8217;t need to eat more, you need to eat less, a lot less. And especially less of the common unhealthy eating practices described below.</p>

<p><strong>Unhealthy Eating Practices:</strong></p>
<p>• Most of your food is <strong>dead food</strong> (cooked, microwaved, etc.)</p>
<p>• Mostly made of <strong>processed foods</strong> (milled, bleached, etc.)</p>
<p>• Hardly any fresh, <strong>organic fruits and vegetables.</strong></p>
<p>• Focusing on <strong>soda drinks</strong> and insufficient water.</p>
<p>• Full of <strong>processed sugars</strong> and processed carbohydrates.</p>
<p>• Consuming <strong>genetically-modified foods</strong> such as corn, soy or sugar from GM sugar beets.</p>
<p>• Intake of processed, pasteurized <strong>dairy products</strong> such as cow&#8217;s milk.</p>
<p>• Is loaded with numerous different <strong>chemical food additives</strong> from MSG and aspartame to chemical preservatives.</p>
<p>• Eat from<strong> toxic food containers,</strong> including plastics and epoxy resins that contaminate the food with BPA.</p>
<p>• Primarily consists of conventionally-grown, <strong>pesticide-contaminated foods.</strong></p>
<p>• Contains a large quantity of <strong>unhealthy oils</strong> such as corn oil, soy oil or partially-hydrogenated oils.</p>
<p>• Cook <strong>fried foods</strong> or foods cooked at very high temperatures that destroy nutrients while creating carcinogenic compounds.</p>
<p>• Is made with many <strong>modified, unnatural ingredients</strong> such hydrogenated oils, refined sugar (which removes the minerals), homogenized milk fats, and so on.</p>
<p>• Consuming far too much <strong>animal products.</strong></p>

<p>How much of your diet is consistent with the above description?</p>

<p>Empower to do what exactly?</p>
<p>Do you get the impression nowadays that people have low self-esteem, lack of confidence, and self respect for themselves and for others?</p>
<p>They have issues with the economy, while blaming others for their woes, unwilling to take 100% responsibility for their lives.</p>
<p>UK prisons are filled to capacity, the government and public education failing another generation of children, and the population seems to be getting more diseased with each generation.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s said that this generation of children could be the first that will not outlive their parents.</p>
<p>The question, though, is why?</p>
<p>Why is our population so diseased? Why is unemployment so high? Why can&#8217;t our kids learn well in school? Why can we not hold our heads up high, take pride in a worthy cause and take 100% responsibility for our own lives?</p>
<p>What if there were a single underlying reason that answered all these questions? As you may have guessed, there is:</p>
<p><strong>Nutrition.</strong></p>

<p>Poor nutrition degrades everyone. Good nutrition empowers. It&#8217;s my strong commitment to spread the message about how nutrition plays such a powerful role in empowering people and nations all around the world.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s also a warning message for YOU: If you don&#8217;t make immediate, radical changes in the way you think about food and the world you live in then you won&#8217;t be in any condition to rise and be more than you can possibly imagine.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re currently down, with sickness and disease, by the inevitable consequences of a nutritionally deficient lifestyle, to understand why this is the case, you first have to see why food has such a powerful impact on everything that matters in your life: Health, happiness, employment, productivity, education and even freedom.</p>

<p>I don’t condone any kind of fad diets and in fact I don&#8217;t even use the word diet!<br />
What I’d like to make people aware of is that weight loss needs to be achieved with a focus and commitment on health and well-being. It needs to be about maintaining a consistent healthy eating lifestyle.</p>

<p><strong>The way forward&#8230;</strong></p>
<p>The principle messages coming through from reputable and experienced nutritionists has been firm and consistent in that we need to eat lots of fruit and vegetables, cut down on unhealthy saturated fat from animal products and replace it with the good fats found in oily fish, seeds and nuts.</p>
<p>Along with reducing sugars, stimulates and alcohol while getting enough sleep, rest and exercise. Sounds dull and tedious for some, especially the ones who really need to binge on kebabs and get drunk every night in order to be an interesting person.</p>
<p>Isn&#8217;t it much better living a healthier, energized life instead, where you actually do lots of interesting things?</p>
